what class(es) were you taking when you made your PS quilt, skin quilt and loom stuff? I’m guessing a Fibers course, but which one..or do you know of any fiber courses at your school that rule?
my photoshop and skin quilts were both for separate classes that didnt have to do with fiber, i just chose to do my project that way. but my loom was for fiber and my silk screen print fabric i did and thats intro to fiber. its an alright class we’re kind of exploring as much as we can in terms of just learning skills but my teacher is what makes it awesome, if you can sign up for a class with kristine woods, shes great. i wouldnt know how it would work for you to just come in and take a fibers class like if you would have to take that first or not but if so get in with kwoods. if not and you want to go into garment making and stuff then they have a workshop you have to take that usually fills up quick i heard because they give priority to experimental fashion majors and then that workshop is like the portal to costume, and other garment making classes. then there is silkscreening on fabric class, surface resist dying class (which i think isnt being offered in the spring) woven imagery, a couple digital patterning classes, etcetc. im sure they all rule haha i havent heard of any fibers class not being worth it. hope i helped! if not, come to mica, somehow get into the bunting building and go to the second for up the stairs right when you go in and you’ll see admissions and all those people at the desk and you can grab an academic bulletin that gives you a description of the classes.
